Thanks Rory, very nice, I sorry I missed it, had some pretty big family issue's, (teenage kid stuff) come up that made this trip very difficult for me, I just wrote it off in the end as I would have had to bail on my wife and kids to make it happen, this was not the plan.  One of these day's I'll win one of these ;)  Looks like a great time!

Did anyone else notice the cop car parked in the strip mall lot in Westport who *appeared* to be a speed trap, was actually manned by a dummy?  I thought that was a good trick.  Effective.  Their version of a scarecrow.

Yeah man, that thing is there year-round.  Got me good the first time out there, now it gives me a good laugh.

They moved it to its current spot last year. I used to chuckle everytime... Until I noticed that a real cop will sometimes sits back a little further in his ride and pick off the speeders.  :)

   Outstanding write up Rory.

   Thanks for making it happen.......
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

What a great write up!  JEALOUS!  And to think I lived in Ocean Shores for four years.

Definitely going to put this and the ORC on my to do list.

Congrats to everyone who made the attempt!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that 'dude' slowed me down as well. I have not seen a dummy in a cop car setup like that in about 10 years. Works on newbs to the area I guess =)

Did you use herring straight out of the package? Cut plug?

Dino - Yeah, thaw the pkg in saltwater and then cutplug them before hooking.  I have seen no evidence that fancy brines work better.

I really like the hotspot green and chrome no-drag flasher. Had alot of success with it at GH and the sound. It has a triangular shape, different than the pear or teardrop shape of konezone.
