This is a favorite around my house. Very fast and easy salmon recipe.

1 small can mandarin oranges
brown sugar
salmon filet

oven to about 350

place salmon filet skin side down in a high sided baking dish
sprinkle with brown sugar
pour oranges with juice over salmon about 10 to 15 minutes
bake until done

if done on the BBQ make a tinfoil boat to contain the orange juice

Hope you guys enjoy.

I do something similar.. I mix brown sugar and OJ into a marinade and let portions soak for thirty minutes, grill em meat side down first then flip to skin 5 or so mins each side. serve it with spring mix salad with balsamic vinigarette and walnuts. the girlfriend is batshit crazy for it.  I might try your way now that I can't grill.
