Ling Season

Only 4 months until the Westport Ling opener!

 

A little over 5 and half months until the Puget Sound ling season opens.

Its open right now... In OREGON

I am keenly aware of that, and if an opportunity presents itself, I will drive down to harvest a few.

Swell is only 4 feet at Depoe Bay today!

I caught lings this morning!     And blacks, a cabby, and a big greenling.  Heck, throw in a large rock sole and a limit of 10 crabs too!  Shoot ... I wasn't on a kayak.

I had planned on being on a kayak, but the weather was borderline.  Opted for a boat when I got the invite to go.  I'll get back out there on Friday ... this time on a kayak.

I have a problem.  I like to fish.
