My name is Don and I suppose I have been lurking on the site long enough.
I visited Winchester Bay for 3 weeks this year and had a blast. Caught 8 or 9 salmon off the rocks and can't wait to get back next year. I am ready to move up there, I have had my fill of the sun and heat, just need to pry Mama away from the grandkids (easier said then done).
I am driving to Florida in Feb. to visit the in-laws for a few months and will be buying a Hobie Outback when I get there, not many kayak dealers here in the desert. I have picked up some great ideas on the forum and am looking forward to outfitting the kayak.
I have fished and hunted my whole life and I can see the NW part of our Country certainly has a lot to offer.
Thanks in advance for all the help, I know I will have a lot of questions.

Welcome aboard Don!
I look forward to reading about all your successes and failures.  ;D

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Welcome Don! I just moved up here from Vegas last spring (Actually, the Air Force moved me up here). The people are great and the fishing is awesome...what more could a guy want?

Now, if I could only sell my house in 'Vegas!

I know the feeling. I used to be in the Homebuilding business but that all crashed for me in '08. It is getting better but a long way to go. May as well go fishing.
