Hi everyone- I am Alan from the Port Townsend area. I have been kayak fishing since the start of the summer and love it! Fishing has always been an addiction of mine, and the addition of a kayak was an instant success.
I want to thank everyone for the great info on this site.    Thanks-

Welcome Alan. I hope you had some fun with all those coho that were in the Strait this summer. I'm located just across the strait from you in Metchosin (just west of Victoria.)

Welcome! I'm in PT too and also just started this summer. We seem to be in a pretty swell spot for learning the ropes. Are you fishing through the winter?
To capture the fish is not all of the fishing. Yet there are circumstances which make this philosophy hard to accept.

Thanks guys- glad to hear there are other people in the area. I have had a very busy fall/winter so far and with it getting dark so early, i havnt been able to get out after work like i did in the summer. Im hoping to get out there one of these weekends soon. Im always willing to meet some new folks in the area for some fishin if somebody needs some company. Safety in numbers!

I get out far less than I'd like and and am still dangerously low on the learning curve. I'll PM you, though, if I get the domestic boss' permission to head out on a weekend. Hope to see you on the water.

I just joined the site and am glad to see that there are people in my area.  I live in Sequim and I am just looking into kayak fishing.  I don't even have a boat yet but am slowly accumulating equipment.  Will be ready to go by Spring at least.  Lots to learn in the mean time.  Hopefully we can get together then.

Welcome Kayak bro's, I'm in the Port Angeles area myself, and post here often when I'm heading out, you are welcome to join me.

I'll probably get out a few time's after the Winter Blackmouth.

Got together for coffee with another budding kayak fisherman here in Sequim this past weekend.  Looks like we will be going through the learning process together which is a good thing.  Our small group seems to be expanding up here in the rainshadow.  Looking forward to Spring already.

Sounds like the beginnings of a plan.  Haven't been checking in every day.  Been schemeing to get after Steelhead, but may opt for Blackmouth, got a report that wasn't to good though, lots of bait in the water but minimal action is what I heard.
