I posted this in another thread.  In a quest to purchase a Hawg Trough, I came across these aluminum ones online.  Anyone used one of these?  Fish and Game uses them.  Seems a bit more costly but no doubt more durable than plastic.  http://www.fishtrough.com/OnlineStore/WalleyeTrough.aspx

This comes in a 36" size and there's a folding one for muskies and fish up to 60" http://www.fishtrough.com/OnlineStore/PikeMuskieTrough.aspx

At the price, I'd be drilling a hole in the side so not to lose it overboard.

Saw this in another thread for making the plastic Hawg Troughs float http://www.yakangler.com/kayak-rigging/item/1296-hawg-trough-improvement

The biggest problem I've had with mine....they disappear.  Lost 2 last summer, and they both floated.

My advice- leash whatever type you buy
No matter how many times the PB's tell me I'm nuts....I still smile every time I out fish them

I make some 48"+ redwood Trophy Troughs.  It's not compact or inexpensive.  Winner of GS gets one.  I'd do a custom build for about $200.

You also get a Hawg Trough extension (to 40") with GS registration.

I like fish measuring devices.   ;D
See you at Gimme Shelter

That's a work of art. Very nice workmanship.
