Was at Dicks Sporting Goods and noticed they had a pretty good selection of W&M  "Wright & Mcgill"  Rods that are "buy one, get one free"   It is a good number of their Storm Cloud series of Salmon and Steelhead  "S-Curve" rods.  They have kind of Cheesie looking custom graphics and curved foam handles but are fairly light with decent build quality.

Sports Co. has them for $89 with Amazon asking $90+  Dicks normal price of $79 with the 2 for 1 price seems to be a pretty good deal bringing them down to under $45 each out the door.     I picked a Medium and Alaska Medium Drifter casting models since at that price,  they will make great loaner if nothing else.

Here is a link to their website:

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Dicks Sporting Goods...Guess they're trying to get back into
peoples good graces after the bone headed firearms ban.
Won't work with me. I put them in my rear view mirror and
won't be back.

I was there earlier today and saw these.  They appear to be a decent rod. Kinda goofy looking though.

I was looking at them last year.  A guy at Fisherman's said he used them and like them.  I almost bought one, but the Berkley's went on sale when I went back later with money in hand.

I would have to think that is a big part of why Dicks is offering them so cheap and surprised other retailers have not followed suit as well.
Looking over construction and the blanks they are built from,  I see them as easily being a $80+ rod.  The graphics look "TOYish" for lack of a better term.  You can imagine there being a Silver Surfer image near the handle and being part of their  Marvel Comics line.  I think the contoured handle may also be a Love It or Hate it feature that will take some casting time to decide.
Their 2 year limited warranty requires cost to ship to the manufacturer and $30 processing fee.   :(

I picked up one of these at a sportsmans show a while back.  Before I even got to use it, one of my boys tossed something on it in the car and about 4" of the tip busted right off.  I'm thinking of just getting a new eye for the end of it.  I'm not too interested in spending $30 to send it back in.  :-\
