Hey there guys,

I feel really lucky to have found this site.  I live a block away from the beach in Vancouver, BC.  I have about 20 years experience fishing for salmon both locally and in the QCI.

My experience is limited to fishing from a boat, with downriggers and bait / artificials.

I don't however have much experience kayaking or fishing from a kayak.  My goal is to buy a kayak for the late spring / summer and fish some of the great local saltwater locations.  I can't wait to explore and find some of these great fish that are waiting to head up our local rivers.

I will have a ton of questions but will do my best to use the search function to answer as many as I can without pestering you guys with silly questions.

I have read some of the threads and am grateful for all of the information you guys have shared in the past.

Also, I would love to meet up with other Vancouver kayak fishermen for trips out into the salt.

Happy New Year, and tight lines!
