Hey Guys;

What is a good product for securing you paddle to your kayak? I've looked at rubber clamps, and bungee type cord. Any suggestions?

When I use one of my paddling yaks, I used a bungie cord type leash attached to the front of the yak and to the paddle with a ring of Velcro.

I just tie a piece of good braided brick layers string to the paddle and a small clip to attach to the Yak.

Craig or sturgeonrod;

Do either of you have a picture? I was thinking something like this But was not sure if it was secure enough.
I do have the paddle leashed.

Thanks

http://www.austinkayak.com/products/206/Bungee-Paddle-Leash.html

Got it about 4 years ago.  It's substantial enough not to get all tangled, cheap enough to afford.

Wait.  Is the question how to leash your paddle to the yak, or how to store your paddle on the yak?

Most yaks have a way to store the paddle on the side of the yak.  Both my Revo and my T13 have bungee loops and buttons.

Here's how I had mine on my PA12 should work the same on you 14.  Hobie bungee cord secured to each end of the grab handle and a Hobie "bungee button" screwed into one of the bottom holes of the mesh gear pocket. I'd take a better pic but don't own the yak anymore.  Worked perfect

Apparently I misunderstood  uour original post. I put these on my wooden yaks.  http://www.amazon.com/Folding-Paddle-Clip-Sea-Lect-Designs/dp/B0088WHCVM/ref=pd_sbs_sg_5

I got them locally at Next Adventure.  On my Hobies, i use the built in paddle keeper.

The square base has a hole per corner for mounting. It is difficult to see it from the pic. They are there.
