Crabbing on Monday Nov 14
« on: November 04, 2011, 01:07:32 pm »
IslandHoppa and I are headed down to Nahalem Bay on Monday, November 14 (fixed it)  to do some crabbing, and playing on his TI.  If anyone else wants to join us, the more the merrier.  I may even have some extra crab rings too.

I may be able to make it.  I still have a lot of AL to burn before the end of the year.  I have two rings and 6 pots if anyone wants to give it a try, but is short on gear.  If I can't make it, someone could borrow the gear if needed.

It's Monday, not Tuesday. Really looking forward to it, need to get my license, looking forward to some Crabby Patties! Let me know what you want me to bring other than the TI. Figured we could troll between pulling pots. Sounds like so much fun!!

Got to install them Bearing Buddies on my trailer if we're launching into briny agua.

I will join you on Monday also. I have 6 rings if need be.  Will you be trolling for Salmon?

Is this the same crab trip Nate was talking about doing on Thursday the 10th?

What type of traps do you guys suggest for Dungees? I have a couple of ring traps but I was thinking about getting some of the Danielson collapsible traps to be able to put on the back of my Revo.

True

I use Danielson's If I am setting them out and leaving them.  If I am focusing just on the crabbing, I use the rings.  they seem to be more productive.

I'm thinking it is Kevin. I was going to opt for rings, rather than the pots I have but everyone seems to be out of the inexpensive rings. So, plan "B" is, I'm bringing the one ring I already owned and my two CrabHawks, which I'm anxious to try.

Catch a few for me as I am on duty that day at the fire station and cant make it. Maybe the next time. I just spoke to some friends that just came back from Tillamook and the said the crabbing was stellar.

I am definitely interested.

I need to figure out what  the minimum gear required will be, because i have none yet.

I hate bumming stuff too.

I demo boats tomorrow, but I doubt I will have a full setup by then.

On the upside, I have a truck that will a few people and a couple boats.  I am willing to trade rides if anyone can help me out.
