Wife-I already have a kayak. Besides, how many kayaks are already in the garage?
Me-Ummmm, a few, but I'm just storing them. . (There are currently 7 kayaks in the garage.)
Wife-seriously, why do you need so many kayaks?

Noah - Nice boat and gear Dave, I am definitely interested. Looks like with all that room in the rod pod, I could easily stash a spare set of keys.
Dave - Yeah, it's been well taken care of and hardly even used.
Noah - Cool, here's the cash for your asking price and an extra $10 to help with gas back to Utah.
Dave - Naw, keep the extra $10.  I'm good, just want to make sure it goes to a good home.
Noah - If you insist. Hey, will help me load this on my whip?
Dave - Sure thing.  There ya go buddy, see ya on the water! 
Noah - Thanks, later bro.

A few moments later....

Noah - ((Thinking))... Cool, the wife isn't home just yet.  I can get this stuffed in the garage and make it look like it's been there for years. 
Wife - Honey!  I'm home! 
Noah - I'm out in the garage, fiddling with some kayaking gear. Langston wanted to take a look at this old kayak here for a friend of his.
Wife - Oh that's nice, can you come rub my feet sweety?
Noah - Yeah, sure I'll be in a few minutes. Let me get this stuff situated so he can see it when he comes over next week.
Wife - Ok, I'll be in the living room.  Can you bring me an iced tea on your way through the kitchen?

 

Wife-" You have enough for now."  I heard that one time but the "for now" left the door open. Through patience and careful explaining, I was able to add another one a year or so later.
