I am moving back to Salt Lake City very soon and have decided to sell my kayak. Its an Ocean Kayak Trident T-11 (olive color), that I am the original owner of, and was used a total of five or six times. Besides great fishing mojo, it comes with the optional rudder system, a pre-wired Humminbird Piranha 170 fish/depth finder and 12 volt battery, an aluminum cart, a four rod milk crate system and Boatmates crate cover. If you don't beat me up too bad on the asking price, I'll include a 230cm Werner paddle that was just under $300 by itself. This has been hanging in my garage, out of the weather and not used for the past two years so, I consider it to be in excellent condition. My asking price is $800

I live in Vancouver, WA and am retired military so I'm readily available and will answer questions as quickly as I can. Thanks for looking

These are awesome boats.  I've paddled my cousins often, and really enjoyed it.  The rudder should make it track even better too.  Now if I could only get rid of my scrambler II, or convince my wife I need a third kayak.....   ;D

That trident is real nice I seen it personally and wish I would have bought that kayak as well . just didn't have enough money . it was in near new condition and had all the extras a person would want in a kayak . if it dont sell before I have more cash I'm gonna scoop that one up too .

Yeah, I read it a couple of times and got a chuckle. Glad you were okay with me taking a shot at someone I've never met. That's one thing about this forum, seems everybody is open to a friendly ribbing from time to time.

You bet Dave....  It's a great community we have here, and if you don't have a sense of humor, life can be challenging.  I love the parks down in Utah, not as much kayak water as Wash/Oregon though.  Beautiful country!

Y'know, that's what you'd think, but give a little too much ribbing and they slap a goshdarned hat on you for months on end.

Well not really.

Ass Hat's are usually earned by dishing out a doozy or two smack talk ribs that may be a bit over the top or could borderline cause some discomfort to the receiver.  The mods/admin recognize this and slap you with Ass Hat avatar to kind of get your attention and publicly make it known you've (should I say) been kind of a dick.

As a recipient of said Ass Hat myself, I can tell you this. Once you get it, you take the hint to tone down a bit and let the others come up for air.
At the same time you can enjoy the public service announcement given to you for a week or two as the obnoxiousness wears off and everyone moves on and forgets about the ribbing.  At this point, you go ahead and change your Avatar back to your personally assigned image and all is again Kosher.

Now, I have to say I haven't really seen anyone hang onto the Ass Hat for too long as it is not exactly a prize.  With that, I wouldn't be surprised if it just disappears someday and is replaced with something less appealing to the recipient to really drive home the point of the assignment in the first place.

Gotta love the magic of forums.  8)

That's a really nice boat and is actually a full package. If you threw Dave your top dollar you could afford he might think about it :)

Speak for yourself! The Sombrero de burro is to be warn proudly.
It also serves to keep people from taking what you say too seriously. That way the mods can have a conversation similar to this.

Little Timmy: "Mr Mod, FG was being mean to me and I think he hurt my feelings"
Mod: "Hmmm .... I'm sorry you feel this way. You might be the first person to ever have their feelings hurt on the internet."
Little Timmy: "Mr. Mod you are so understanding to my plight, thank you! I thought my mother was the only one who coddled me even into adulthood, but now I have an Internet mommy to make sure my feeling are never hurt again."
Mod: "Was by chance the mean man's avatar a picture of a donkey wearing a sombrero? "
Little Timmy: "Why yes it was."
Mod: "Well Little T, that mean that he often jokes around and it's not just you. He gives everyone a hard time. Even though they usually said something dumb and deserve it.
Now you know and knowing is half the battle ..."
Little Timmy: "Thanks Mr. Mod!"

Sorry for the thread jack =)
