It was a little chilly in the morning, but a great day overall.  Even though I didn't catch any fish I had a great time meeting some new people and fishing a new lake.  You know the fishing is rough when Z resorts to bobber fishing...

A very special thanks to Karl and his wife for the wonderful shore lunch; it really hit the spot.  ;D

Big thanks to everyone who made it out there and what a damn beautiful day it was!! I started my day off in the dark at the north end of the lake and got to paddling. It was a good paddle and a great warm up in the freezing temps. When I got to the south end there were large areas of ice covering the surface so no doubt the water was coooold. Got to some trolling and covered the nice drop offs and depths w/ no takers. Finally met up with everyone and luckily the day steadily warmed up. YN pulled out his perch rig which I thought would be tough to get any trout on but he sure proved it wrong. When NY mentioned that YN got a nice trout on that rig I was really surprised. But there it was, a beauty of a trout.

The weather continued to just get better when we took a break and NY and his wife put on an awesome lunch of burgers and beer. Thanks you guys!!! That was awesome. So after we finished up it seemed like it was at least 50 and we moved back to YN's spot. After an hour or so I get a hit on my jig but didn't stick... that was it for me for the day. I took the paddle back to the north end and called it a day. Beauty of a day!!

Great to see all you guys! Really look forward to getting the crew together again.
