The best way,if you fish a lot and if you have the space and skills is to pour your own.  My mold for 3 and 4 oz heads cost $24 bucks (going to pick up a 1 and 2 oz mold soon), just picked up a box of 100 jig hooks on sale at Fishermens for $10.  Lead is free if you look for it.

I've got 35lbs. of lead I'l give to anyone who wants it. I'm in Independence and go to Portland and Eugene about once per month if that works.

....looks like a taker already.

Hey Ron, which mold are you using? I picked up the Do-It Mold but the fishersman's out at delta park didn't have any of the hooks in stock. I guess I should have checked the OC store too?

The Do it's are the best I've used.  Which mold did you get?  Depending on which hook model and size you need somebody cleaned out the shelves of 7/0 and 8/0's ::)

It's the Do-It mold with four sizes, 2,3,4, and I think 1.5 oz. It takes Mustad hook number 34184, which I guess is the same as 91715. I just ordered some 8/0 off ebay.

bullet head?  or round?

I like the triangle "tuna" heads as they have the nice flat sides to glue eyes to.  Let me know if you ever want to have a pouring party.  I've got tons of molds, lead pots, burners, etc etc.

I've got 22# of soft lead and a pyramid mold for free, if anyone wants to pick them up near Bonney Lake.

Wish you were closer. I'd take you up on that.

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

He makes the plastics as well.  I'm not sure I know what you mean when you ask "what are the plastics?"  He adds color, etc to the plastics and then pours them into molds he has made.
