Logic would say have it on Saturday.  That leaves you with one more weekend day to try what you learned so that in my case it might sink in.

That said, I would rather do it on Sunday.  That way I could go bird watching with Portland Audubon on Sauvie Island on Saterday.  (What can I say, I am the well rounded outdoorsman, plus the trip leader Saturday is really good with waterfowl)

I'm thinking of coming up and fishing with you guys on Sat. if I can get a pass.  Do I need a WA fishing license (I have an OR)?  Also do we need to run barbless hooks?

No, you don't need a WA license.  Your OR license will cover you.  You'll be fishing the Columbia River and either license works even if you launch from the Washington side.

Yes, you'll need to fish barbless hooks.

Barbless hooks are a new rule this year.  If you don't want o buy new hooks, just krimp the barbs of the hooks you have before you use them.

This seminar was great! I thought I was excited about going after salmon in a kayak before, but this pushed me over the edge...got my herring brine going tonight!

Great job guys! That was a great seminar. The live demonstrations of the herring and prawn rigs was great.

I wish I could have made this.

Spot, thanks for the gear tips via PM.  I'll make sure to bother you in person on Saturday.

Fresh snow and ice on the roads this morning...... I might leave this evening for PDX.

Great clinic last night.  Spot and Jammer - the knowledge and sharing that you provide the community is greatly appreciated!

Also, thanks to Hoggs for hosting.  The staff was very helpful and friendly all evening.

Looking forward to tomorrow - should be a great day!
