Thank you guys for being the voice of reason. I tend to be impulsive with gear shopping.
I'm not fishing the salt alone until I feel more comfortable out there.The place I fish is far away from any type of help. I'm well out of view from anyone.

I agree with the safety aspects of the GPS/FF....but I like fungunnins outlook too haha. I'm hoping some sweet vids will inspire my friends to bite the bullet and get kayaks.
I'm already kind of a big deal on YouTube. I have some originals and cover tunes on there with mild success haha.

I'll probably get the FF first. That will make my videos more fishy.

I'm going to upgrade soon but my hummingbird piranha max 160 works great for 100 bucks.

Is the GO PRO just for taking photo's for AOTY?
If so I would pickup a cheaper waterproof camera like the Nikon S30. it online at Walmart  for $80. I saw them in store for $60. They are discontinued and being replace with the S31.

I decided on the HummingBird PiranhaMAX 196ci. It does everything I need at a price I like. Thanks  everyone for guiding me in the right direction

At my age the camera is helpful so I can remember what I've done...

From my perspective, getting a GoPro is way better. You getting a FF doesn't do anything for the rest of us, but you getting a camera lets you entertain us all. Now that I think about it, I would donate money to get GoPros for certain members of our community.

Where do you think you rate on the entertainment scale? For example, can you make your yak fly?

I'm all sorts of animated. I am prone to colorful vocab from time to time. I'll try my best to keep it family friendly. I'm also prone to accidents so there is a high chance of yakcrobatics.

Yakrobatics, nice! I'd say the boy does have entertainment potential.

Flying kayak is going to be hard to do on purpose. I read a recent surf launch post that was chalk full of flying kayaks...
As for fishing videos, I always thought it would be funny to put together a gag reel of Bill Dance type moments. I remember watching his fishing program as a kid and I thought his bloopers were hilarious. Editing videos in that fashion could be entertaining, I'm so clumsy that I don't think there would be a shortage of material.
