I decided on the HummingBird PiranhaMAX 196ci. It does everything I need at a price I like. Thanks  everyone for guiding me in the right direction  ;D
The GoPro will wait a little bit...but it will be mine, oh yes...it will be mine.
Good choice! The FF will help find the right structure for catching more fish. Having a good camera at the right time is great for pics and video, but catching fish from a kayak is really what it's all about.
Zee's 25 million views on YouTube is pretty freakin cool though.

A fish finder will help put food on your table.. a camera, although fun, only feeds your ego

Fair notice Pelagic, I'm totally stealing that quote!

Flying kayak is going to be hard to do on purpose. I read a recent surf launch post that was chalk full of flying kayaks...
As for fishing videos, I always thought it would be funny to put together a gag reel of Bill Dance type moments. I remember watching his fishing program as a kid and I thought his bloopers were hilarious. Editing videos in that fashion could be entertaining, I'm so clumsy that I don't think there would be a shortage of material.
Yeah the flying kayak was Langcod. He's pretty entertaining at times, he would certainly give you a run for your money. I watched him attempt to set the hook on a Sturgeon last Sunday. He somehow yanked his Tiger Stick directly into his testicles. I was DYING. I so wish I had that one on video....

Ya, Langcod was who I had in mind when I said I would donate money toward certain members getting video cameras.

I guess I should set up a kickstarter page or PayPal account. I've always wanted to get a GoPro.
