I have the Hobie Trax 2 for my Revo and its awesome to float over the sand. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it can be difficult to insert the cart in the scupper holes if you are fully loaded and don't want to turn your yak on its side and/or have no one to help position the cart. Other than that is great. The fact that you can use the Wheeleez on any yak and don't have to use the scuppers looks like it may have an advantage.

I also have the Hobie Trax 2 for my Revo but have modified the cart so I can use rails or the scupper holes.  The scupper hole method is quicker as you don't have to deal with any tie down straps.  The plus for the Wheeleez or regular kayak cart is you can position the cart to better balance the load in the kayak and reduce the weight of the bow.  I need both options as my Kazkazi doesn't have the scupper holes.

I have the Wheeleez beach cart for my T-13 and works awesome on light fluffy sand, as well as hard surface. It fits inside the front hatch with some forethought.

I also have a set of the smaller Wheeleez tires that I used to make a PVC version of the Hobie Trax cart.  I wanted to be able to break it down and fit everything inside the Revo because the beach cart frame will not fit inside the Revo.

So far the PVC cart with the Wheeleez tires has handled everything I have thrown it at.

The wheeleez beach cart literally makes my want to punch somebody. The hobie trax only slightly less so.

Sounds like I need to pop open a brew and watch Rory pull his yak down to the water.

Apparently the Hobie Trax 2 uses the 24cm wheels, and they just came out with a new version (Trax 2-30) with 30 cm tires.

You may also want to look at the C-TUG cart with the SIDEWINDER WHEELS.
I have this cart with the solid wheels and am getting ready to order the new
SIDEWINDER option. Even without it this cart works great for my REVO 13.
No flat tires to worry about.

Don't see the sidewinder accessory for sale.

Actually, the cart is the one thing that really DOES make me angry.  I can't believe nobody has come up with anything better than what's out there.

First the hobie trax (tried all permutations)...

It's the least-worst option simple because your kayak can't slide off.  However, it's so poorly constructed, the axle welds pop pretty much the first stick you roll over.  I must have had 5 of these things (I am not kidding).  The shit welds ALWAYS break.  Look at the welds.  They are so poorly done.  For $190 I expect something ALOT more durable.  Once those welds go, the cart flexes which is shouldn't do.  It will damage your scuppers and generally make kayak transportation alot more difficult.

The balloon wheels...look at the valve.  It's recessed.  WHY WHY WHY WHY.  I'm sure there is a reason but the reality is that it makes it impossible to add air with any normal air-giving device.  Certainly none that I have in my home.  how bout making them so that a normal person with a bike pump can put air in them???

I've also had the valve break on THREE of these wheels so that it won't hold air.  I could understand if it happened once.  But THREE?  That's obviously shitty design.  I've also had one of those wheel clips break on me.

Yeah it's not great you have to unload your kayak and turn it on its side, but that part doesn't really bother me.  If you're not in a surf situation, just leave the back end of the kayak in the water

The only good thing I can say about this cart is that they will warranty it.  Which I have done on numerous occasions.  Of course they always say that I'm using it outside of the mfr recommendations or whatever (but warranty it anyway).  But come on.  Then make something that's not made out of toothpicks.

So I got the wheeleez beach cart as a refugee from the hobie carts.  And that only made me realize how good I had it.  The part about punching somebody comes into play when you're trying to lay your loaded kayak on it (say like after landing).  Good effing luck.  It will take 3 or 4 tries.  My rage increases each time that damn cart slips out.  So lets say you finally do get it on there.  you gotta strap your bitch down HARD to keep it from sliding around on the cart.  hit some soft sand and you're in trouble.

Which reminds me...ANY sand inside that wheel or on the axle and you can forget getting the wheel on.  The machining is so unreasonably tight on that fitting that even a piece of sand will cause it to not fit.  COME EFFING ON!!  IT'S A BEACH CART!!  How can you expect people to not get sand on it?  And they pre-grease the wheel or axle, so when trying to clean it off with you hand, you end up with a black hand.

I used it for a month and went back to the lesser of evils, the hobie trax cart.  My garage is littered with all sorts of different carts and cart parts.  Mostly broken.

No for real, I hate carts with a passion.  I'm sorry I don't have anything positive or constructive to say.

Don't be sorry, that was really entertaining.  I feel a little bad for laughing at your misfortune though.

I hate it when a folding cart folds up on you while in use.

grrrrr
