When: Saturday Aug. 3rd
Where: Sunset Bay in Coos Bay OR
Cost: 20 bucks

This years AOTD kayak fishing challenge will be held Saturday aug. 3rd. Hope to see alot of the usual suspects and a bunch of new ones show up. No kayak for first place but last years winner got well over 200 bucks for a 15 dollar entry fee(20 this year) and we all had a great time.. I know i did

If you want to save some dough on camping you can camp in my yard where we have a great fire and party it up!

Typical setup, fish saturday morning, awards ceremony and potluck dinner after. Then back to my joint for the real party! and if you don't drink it is still fun to watch the drunks trip on my uneven yard

I know we are all obsessed with the ORC, but wanted to give plenty if time for planning. Man, I can't wait till ORC!!

More info soon!

You do live in a relatively sparsely populated side of the region.  Come on over to the wet side and you'll find these things a lot easier to get to.

Roy - I'd like to reserve the same tent site I had last year, and will bring fire wood, plus whatever to help with what's needed.  It's a work weekend for me but I can cover it with some vacation time, and glad to do it.  I have one family issue that may cause a problem, but if at all possible I'll be there.

I had a great time last year and Roy, you are a very gracious host.  This will be a lot of fun!

Let us know what we need to kick in for a honey bucket. You're poor toilet has gotten the short end of the stick (or maybe the long end, not sure) from all us disgusting animals as the tourney has grown bigger every year.

On a lighter note, Doughboy if you're coming down please please coerce your wife into making another batch of those cookies. Sooooo Goood!

I think the cookies surely contributed to the long end of the stick.. Those were good!

I can look into the honey bucket. should be reasonable especially since "the little stinker" business is right down the street

Just point us in the right direction to Little Stinker's place and we won't need to rent one.  We can just take it for a test drive.

This sounds like such a good  time--I'm going to try to make this one too.

New water for me---a very good thing  :D :D :D

Had a good time at the tournament last year, and I plan on making it down this year. And the launch is great. Last year, the swell and wind were so bad that nobody made it outside the bay for more than 15 minutes, but on the beach the waves were maybe 8".

Thanks for the personal invite Roy,
I just checked--its only 281 miles from Raymond to Coos Bay down Hwy 101 or 350 miles if I take I-5.

If I start checking past threads--I'm sure I'll get pumped about this gig. Now to work on the logistics.
