This is a poll just to see what people are fishing with. I chose what appear to be the most popular models on the forum. I know some people own more than one model, so please just pick the one you use the most when fishing. This poll is not being used to start the never ending Revo vs. Outback debate, just  wondering what is out there.

EDIT:I added more options (I didn't know you could add more than 5 originally), and yes you can only vote once, because while you may own one of each, you can only use one at a time.

I'd be happy with any Hobie.  Not that I dislike the paddle yak, but hands free would be very nice, and they certainly seem to cope with heavy currents and wind better.

Just go with an Adventure and don't look back..... unless you want to see some Revos and Outbacks trying to keep up. >:D

Nice! I would like to try an Adventure some day. Maybe I'll have to arrange a demo from NA.

I have an Outback and a Revo. If I could only keep one, It'd be the Outback. I do have to work hard to keep up if I have a friend on the Revo but the stability of the Outback is great. If I have the day off I want to fish despite the weather.

I kinda feel like the Oasis should be lumped with the revo and the outfitter with the outback.  They are each based off the single seat version of those kayaks.

Sport -->  Outback  --> Outfitter

Revo 11 --> Revo 13 --> Oasis

Adventure -->  AI -->  TI

I agree - I regularly pedal both the Oasis and Revo - the Oasis is very similar to the Revo, and not so much to the Outfitter.

I'm going to take my dislike of the Outback to another level and state that I feel the the Outback is the least safe of the main three boats, especially for serious ocean fishing. I believe that if you consider going more than a mile from port in the ocean them you should not consider the Outback.

My reasoning is that the Outback is nearly impossible to paddle in any conditions other than flat calm. When your drive breaks and you are 3 miles from home against the current you are on a seriously bad spot in an Outback.

Great lake and river boat ... Not safe on the ocean.

Is there a limit on the number of options you can poll or something?  Unless there is, I don't really see a need to lump boats together right off the bat.  There are only 14 options for mirage boats, after all.  Let people draw their own conclusions about the hull shape or whatever later.

Minor threadjack.  Are there foot braces, other than the pedals, in the Hobies for when you need to paddle?  Just thinking that if you had to go 3 miles against the current with a broken Mirage drive, even a reasonably paddle friendly model like the Adventure that could be a real chore without good foot braces.

The heel cups in my Addy are almost identical to my Prowler 13. Very easy to paddle, even without the drive plug in place.

Going to the ORC? I will be bringing my Oasis and I will be glad to take you up on a friendly race on the river there - with Younggun in my back seat of course. (Although Lee and Linglady could probably smoke all of us.)

That could be fun, but yes Lee and Marie would probably pass us with ease.
