Pre-fished it today with Rawkfish for a while, it was dead slow, no jumpers, there were a few fish but they were few and far between.  Rawkfish left for Hoodsport around 11 and I went down to Kennedy creek to bank it for some easy fish.  When I was left I had a conversation with the fish checker who said he had just come from Hoodsport and kayaker was hit by a tribal netter today, the description sounded just like Rawkfish....  any one know if he is ok?

Wasn't me.  Crazy though!  I didn't hear anything about it.
Pulling the switcheroo was a good move as far as catching fish goes.  ;)  Thanks for the tips!  Good meeting you today!

Looking forward to the tournament tomorrow.  I will be at the Launch at 7:30 AM.   Everyone needs to check in before fishing to sign releases and pay if you have not already done so.  Also fishing boundaries may be expanded (I want people to catch fish) tomorrow so make sure you check in with Dino or myself for updated information.

Go get them dogs folks......

Have fun and be safe out there today
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

It was big, and it was nasty, and the fishing was a hell of a lot of fun!

Thanks Scott & Dino - the Chumming was a blast!

The "Keta" meat wasnt a bad as I thought it would be - nice and firm - going to smoke up great.

I tried Gyotaku for the first time on my one keeper. My brother-in-law in Hawaii turned me on to it - he's got pictures all over his walls.
Nasty looking chums come out pretty good....

I think this is Dick's hooked up to his winning Chum. ...or maybe it was just one of the hundreds of hookups.  ;D

Thanks for another great Derby Dino & and his big band of helpers. A fun day of catching. I'll be sore tomorrow.
