Would anybody be interested to doing a 2-3 day kayak float trip this spring?  Maybe in early April while steelhead are still available?

It would be around a 35 mile float.

here is some info about the strech of water.

Which section are you proposing to do?  Last May I did a four-day 65-mile kayak trip from Minam to Boggans Oasis, and could post a couple pictures if that section overlaps what you are proposing to do.

The whitewater on the Grande Ronde is easy, but the scenery is very nice.

Minam to Troy is a nice stretch. Very little whitewater to navigate. Great camping and lots of fishes / wildlife.

That's something I've been wanting to do for a while.  I'd be interested if I could get my schedule to work.

I was thinking about going from Minam to Powatka Bridge.  This is few miles upstream of Troy.  I'd be open to float even further though.  Also, the trip doesn't have to be in April, early summer would make for some great weather, I was just thinking about steelhead season which closes April 15.

Seriously, that looks like a lot of fun.  I would go either time if I can get approval from work and wife.

Here are some pictures from the Minam to Troy section of the Grande Ronde River, from a four-day 65-mile trip from Minam to Boggan's Oasis in May of 2013.  Two of us were in whitewater kayaks, and one was in an inflatable kayak.

I miss that river. I started my college at Eastern Oregon University and spent many days floating that stretch and fishing for steelhead. Highly recommend that float!

Steve H. and I would be interested in the trip.  The section just above the Grande Rhonde is my favorite place to fish for Steelhead.

I fished Rondowa by myself on Monday.  Caught one small native.

so I guess the first thing to figure out is how long of a trip people would like to go on.

I think a 3 day trip would be a good start.  Minam to the Powatka Bridge.  What do you all think?
