  A few quick question s ?????
  Is Davis Bar pretty much all trolling ???
  How would anchoring up and running plugs do ???
  If high tide is around 11:00 should you troll with or against the tide ???
  Zigzaging with or against the tide ???
  What do you think about S-N-G's and prawns/eggs ???
  Ever caught a salmon with a nightcrawler ???   I have :o :o :o
  How's the water looking today ???
  That's all for now........I think.

  Thanks in advance ::)

  A few quick question s ?????
  Is Davis Bar pretty much all trolling ???
       Mostly but some do anchor up on the outgoing
  How would anchoring up and running plugs do ???
       Most people anchor up either below the dolphin or occasionally next to the barges
  If high tide is around 11:00 should you troll with or against the tide ???
       I troll against until the outgoing.  Then I've been known to paddle up the shoreline to troll back down
  Zigzaging with or against the tide ???
       Yes
  What do you think about S-N-G's and prawns/eggs ???
       Real good choice on anchor.  Never tried them trolling.  Would probably be a killer combo back trolled on the outgoing.
  Ever caught a salmon with a nightcrawler ???   I have :o :o :o
  How's the water looking today ???
       Reports say it's looking better than it has in at least a week
That's all for now........I think.

  Thanks in advance ::)

I may bring my anchor along in case I haven't limited by the tide change.

   Thanks for the quick response Mark.

   I have thought of an alternative--- so I don't have to  drive so far nor wake up at 3:00 am .

   I need to make my "vice" run anyway so I think I'll try a spot I've been looking at for a while but not tried.
   Off of Hiway 401 is a boat launch that opens up to Grays Bay on the Colombia River. I've seen PB's there when Bouy 10 is open..but never stopped to talk to anyone fishing there. However, the water looks real fishy. I could troll up river on the incoming tide then head back to the truck on the out going tide. I'm not sure of water conditions that close to the mouth but it doesn't really matter... I'll adjust accordingly. This will save me over 200 miles of driving (round trip) and I planned on making this run anyway soon.

  So--- as much as I'd like to fish Davis Bar with you  guys-- I'm going with plan B. I'll let you know how it goes. Good luck to all that make it out. I'll try to only catch the biggun's that you guys don't want anyway.

  Knappton is the name of the launch. Anyone ever fished there ?

Well, I don't have any fish to brag about, but here's a nifty photo.  Thanks again Noah for loaning me the Hobie.  My life as a paddler has been shortened.

Nope.  None. zero. zilch.  Not many were caught by anyone.  There were probably 50 or more boats and 20ish kayaks with about 12 fish caught that I am aware of.

However, Spot showed a strong performance with two freshwater clams boated.
