I checked in with the guys running the show and they said it they'd be OK with me helping organize the taco feed again this year.  So, in that vein, here's the list of what we'll need.  I'll update this as suggestions come in, and as people take on certain items to identify who's bringing what.

I'll try to get a cooler that we can keep at the weigh in station with ice so folks can donate fillets from their catch there.

In the event that we get weathered out and can't fish I'll be passing the hat around for money to run into Lincoln City to get ground beef or whatever people want for the tacos in place of the fish.

I know it isn't the same as fresh from the water... but I have a bunch in my freezer.  Would it be of any value to bring that?

How many people are we feeding?
Good question

Last year we had 80-ish competitors.  Add a few family members and it was probably a little over 100 people.  I would assume a larger crowd this year due both natural growth of the contest and to ORC being a Hobie Worlds qualifying event.  We had plenty of food, and considerable left overs of everything (except a few side dishes) at the end of it all last year.  So even if it goes up to 120 competitors plus some degree of family/friends a modest increase in overall food would be suffecient.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

If last year is anything to go by we shouldn't have any trouble getting all the food needs covered.  Also, last year tons of folks were super helpful in terms of helping with set-up, running the cooking operations, and cleaning up.  If we can repeat that performance this year I'm not in the least bit worried about having any problems.

I'll add it to the list up top, but some firewood would a good thing for folks to bring.  I brought a bunch last year, but I won't have anything nearly dry enough by ORC to be worth bringing.
