Nice flag, but where's the fish!?!?!

Loud is good. Like channel markers and buoys.

The one that's got the black kayak, white letters, orange background... it makes me need a bowl of Wheaties.

I think I like the black on yellow background.

Black on yellow looks good to my red/green colorblind eyes!!

That's an important consideration!  How well do you see dayglow orange and dayglow chartreuse?
My Ultimate 12 is dark olive, with removable black skirts. My hat is khaki. My main concern is getting run over from behind by a power boat racing up river from behind in the early morning river fog. I'll be using a light on a pole, as well.

I just excavated an old hot orange safety vest from a box of junk in my garage's attic, circa 1980. I can make that into a flag, but it won't look cool. :-\

I realize this was an active topic last summer, but...was anything ever decided or acted on?

Besides a light up high, a flag is a great option for visibility.

Sorry about this guys. I am to blame and have been lagging. One thing that I've been trying to do is find a large enough flag to actually do any good out on the water. I don't really think a tiny little bike flag is gonna do the job. I found a company that makes a perfect version but still trying to get a group rate. I'm gonna do my best to get this done ASAP so I'll get back when I've got some info.
Thanks.

Heck yeah, killer idea! I just picked up a fiberglass whip flag pole from Joe's... a little on the pricey side, but I would've paid for it in shipping I guess. It only has a dinky little triangle flag on the top so that's gonna have to be replaced. I have something that will work for now, but I think this is a great idea. I'll be in line for one for sure.

Zee, Polepole, BSteves.... Whom ever has a digital version of the NWKA logo with the kayak and fish on it, I can see if my mom can embroider that pattern out on her $$$$$$ sewing machine.  She could make the flag pretty much any sized, and color (fabric availability dependant) and make it two sided sewn together and grommeted like a dive flag.  Heck she could even put your real name and NWKA username on it.

I'm thinking something like these, only on brighter fabric.

http://www.tourflags.com/golfcourseflags.htm

She is retired, been sewing since she was a kid, and any money she can muster up by sewing stuff will keep her happy and busy.  ;D

She can also do hats, sweatshirts, T-shirts, towels, etc.....

I would much rather pay your Mother than a Company!
not sure about the rest of us though.
It could not get any more custom than that. ;)

Yeah something like that, but probably not with the dive stripe on it (unless you felt it was needed).

I gave her the JIF format of the logo in the upper left corner of the page to see if she can get it to convert to JEF format.  If not, she'll need it in JEF format to make the computer and sewing machine talk correctly.

I won't have her make anything until I get word from PolePole if she can have permission to use the logo or not

I worry about using a dive flag in a non-dive situation.   Dang, I feel like the PoPo  :police:  these days.  I guess PoPo is short for Polepole.

INSAYN, if Zee is not going to do the flags, then your mom is on!!! That being said, can she do hats?
