I was convinced that Salmon and Kayaks were not in my cards.  I finally figured it out this morning.  Austin point to the green can and back.  I only saw one fish caught this morning.  This one.   ;D

Awesome!!!  I love hearing about people getting their 1st salmon.  Sorry to hear about the rest of your priorities from here on out.

Congrats....

I hit the Lewis by the green bridge last week.  Lost 2...Water was too low to do anything much past first light.   I haven't heard any reports about Cedar Creek or Happas lately.

That's pretty badass!!!  I'm excited for my 1st FISH!   I just drank the koolaid and got myself a kayak.  I'm still hunting for deals and my gear, but I hope to get out in the water for the 1st time in spring.  I'm looking froward to my FIRST FISH.  Congrats

Why wait til spring ? There are tons of opportunities all winter.
You need to get that new kayak wet.............

Whoooa Tonto!....uso...where are you located?  I'd hate for someone to get dumped in the water right now.  Get properly equipped first.  Go slow.

   uso78,
I have just looked over all of your posts so far to get a little background info.
That said-------- congratulations on your new kayak. The Revo 13 is a favorite of many of our members.
From your previous posts---- I don't believe you'll be doing anything rash or stupid to start out. You have done your homework and good on you for that.
When I said you need to get that boat wet--- I'm basically saying -- go to some easy water, see how the new boat feels underneath you, and as you are testing it out.... try to imagine how you want to outfit your kayak for future fishing expeditions. Think about placement of pole holders, fish-finders, and any other rigging options that might appeal to you. Do this a couple of times. That will help you decide on what modifications you may want to do in the future before you start drilling holes.
In the Ballard area there have to be a few places that have calm water. Use those to aquaint yourself with your new boat then start to push your limits and expand your horizons to bigger and badder water. Take your time, find your comfort level, and then push it a little as you become more familiar with your gear.
You seem to be entering a whole new world of opportunities. Be patient, observe all you can, and learn every day. This forum has a tremendous wealth of knowledge. Grow from that knowledge and add to it when you can. Because in time you will have gained and learned. Then share with others.
Have fun and keep posting up to share your adventures and growth.

Well done!  Nice looking fish.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
