Ok I plan to be there,  if the water is as calm as my bathtub I will even fish! 

Just found out I will not be able to attend - a memorial service in FL. Bright side is I might get some fishing in while I'm there - do not think my deceased relative will mind (and great time of year to fish from a yak in FL - everything's biting).

I have a 9ft mini x.  Not ideal but it'll work.  Especially for halibut.  $20 is a side bet for kings. Tournament entry is free.

Yah, if you dont need it this weekend, next week works.  Its small enough that transport is easy.  I'd still look around for a better platform but it worked for me when i was a total noob.
