I'll be there for my first time as well as my first time in the big water. Been following for a while now and I'm ready to go. I figure this is an ideal opportunity with all the experienced folks and safety crews. Very much looking forward to this.

This will be my first.  After watching the posts on the NWKA website for 2 years, and not feeling ready, I am finally going to make it this year.  I was set to miss again this year because I had a family event to attend - but it was postponed - so I am registered!

I've only been out of Depot once before, but I am looking forward to making the tournament this year!

It was. And we had a blast. Inundated the RV park and the county park with members and family, met and made friends with each other, the dory fleet, and the local businesses.

Dave, thanks for posting that series. I haven't seen it in a long long time. Was it your wife, or amb's who shot it?

This will be my first. My son (member here also) will be attending also and his first. I made reservations at the campground long ago.

WR, I think this is you at ORC1. Also, most of those shots were taken by my wife. We should be so lucky to have those conditions at ORC8!

Dave,
Yep that's me. After my 2nd or 3rd Huli and a change in the angle of attack on the surf I finally got out drenched but out.. and that was my 1st official trip out onto the ocean. Your lady did some good shootin with the camera.to give us that montage.
Hope you really do have those conditions tournament day

Insayn,
Unknown as to when. Docs still haven't cleared me to do much more than walking, and very limited work. Still very heavy on serious meds. can't even enjoy a beer. Limited driving sucks. sometimes I feel like a 90 yro geezer.  So, kayaking isn't in the cards right now.

Have fun out there everone. Stay safe.

I'm no threat to prizes.  The best I've ever placed was something like 7th.  BlueWrx02 is your target if you plan to sabotage hit kayak with a load of banana's.   ;D

And I think I read that Golden Dog may be tapping out as well.

Wait......... :o

Is there another tournament that weekend that hasn't been publicly announced?   Where are all these regulars going if they are skipping out on ORC?
