I am surprised this one did not light up the sky...

What were the fairy fees last year, round trip? Talked to Ken this morning about this. One idea he had was to go early to mid Nov and do a combo deer/fishing trip.

I'm in!!!! Hell ya!!! Gotta pick the right week when I don't have the kids. Sons not quite ready. I think early August for pinks (as bait) or early September. We got caught in between salmon runs. I'm going to try and spend some time King fishing this time too!!!

November and deer sounds fun but weather is likely too unpredictable.

Love to go, likely september wont fly for me.

I'll attach snaps of the Ferry Rates, but Homer to Kodiak looks like $159 for up to a 15' vehicle, plus $78 per passenger, and if you wheel your Kayak on (off a vehicle) that still hits your for $26.

'Car-pool'n' will save a couple hundred in car rates, or you have to figure transport on arrival.

While I'd really like to do this, I just don't have the time to put into planning it right now.  And likely don't have the time to fly into anchorage and do the whole ferry thing.  That being said, if someone wants to take lead, and if there is a kayak for me, I could try to fly into Kodiak to save time, and rent a truck over there.  Then maybe some of you could save on ferry costs and share/walk-in/whatever, and I can provide some amount of transportation support on the island.

LOL.  Missed that.   Fairy fees are what ... Pink Tutu tax, Wand Assessment, per-wing charges.

Maybe it was all the Bad Fairies that made the state shut down the on-board bars.   Too much magic dust and they got violent.

What can we target during September?  If you say Kings and halibut, count me in!

Silvers and halibut, although Rudy thinks there are kings year round to be had.  At 10 months of kingly goodness, who am I to refute?

I will be there in late August last week probably.  Might be able to shift my dates to align with you all!

I'm leaning early August except that's awfully close. So maybe later is ok. I don't particular care to fish silvers the pinks are more abundant meaning they are a bigger draw for shallow halibut.

Who know with my schedule. I'm going to post another possible trip opportunity though I'm not sure it's feasible for most. Adak....
