So how exactly do i sign up for this?  Email?  Just show up with the waiver?  I don't want to be that guy to drive all the way out there just to be turned away because I forgot something.

Thanks.

You pretty much nailed it. Show up with a waiver plus $40 entry and fish. The standard for most NWKA tourneys are: dry/immersion gear, PFD, typically a safety flag, and a whistle on your PFD. If you've got that covered than you definitely won't be turned away.

So I've got a couple questions about the event.

1.  Are we all launching from the park at the grocery store and paddling to the inn?

2.  Are we using official sunrise or the legal fishing time?

3.  Is the flag and whistle required or just recommended?

4.  I've got waders,  is that considered acceptable "immersion" gear?

5. Can we be on the water at the start time or will it be like a dash from the bank to get in the water?

Ok I know that was more than a couple.  I'm new to your guys' events and I just don't want to feel like a total newbie.  I think that's everything.

I just called the Hoodsport hatchery Hotline 360-877-5222 for the most recent update. Well..... the last update was from the 16th. They said fish are showing up but the hotline won't be updated until conditions change
I'm pretty sure I'll be calling again next week a couple of times....... ;D
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I bank fished right in front of the hatchery for the last 3 evenings.  The breeze was pretty heavy and I haven't put the anchor trolley on the new yak.

They are really thick in there right now.   Large schools banging into my ankles.  all in very close in knee deep water.   They are still pretty bright and the meat is still pretty pink.  Nice smokers about 12-14 lbs.

The nets were in on Tuesday, shore to way out,  and fishing sucked but much better Wednesday.  The Skokomish fishing regs are at http://www.skokomish.org/

Took 4 in 2 hours, kept one.    Huge schools constantly crashing around.  Not biting as well as I would think with that many fish but still lots of fun.   Green corkies and yarn
