I picked up an overtime day on Wednesday so I can meet you there Thursday morning!!  (See PM).

Just found the Swan Island Basin ramp on Google, looks really nice! Gotta get out there next week!

Physically the ramp is pretty decent, and there is ample parking. But hide your valuables and lock everything up - there's a whole lotta sketchy stuff going on there 24/7.

Met up with SNARF at Swan today and really had a blast. My arms are aching and I only fished a few hours. I landed 7 sturgeon, all 5-7 feet long. Wobbler came out for just an hour and landed four. SNARF and Mike each landed more than I did, I'm guessing we pulled in over 1,000 lbs of fish today.

It was great to see you guys and catch up. Let's do it again soon.

Huh. What's your technique? I was wondering what to do with my yak now that the Salmon have all gone by.

Put something dead on a barbless sturgeon hook tied to a swivel. Above the swivel is a slider with 3-5 oz. pyramid on 12" of 12 lb mono. Pretty simple.

Just noticed my typo, then again bight can be used to describe the bend on your pole.

A few hours is all it takes for a good upper body workout.

Tomorrow is going to be breezy, looks like 15 mph east wind. I'm going to try to hit the launch at 10 AM. Who's planning to be there?
