Has the recent rain helped raise the water level much?

I appreciate you reporting back anyway - it helps to know how things work out. Hopefully we can figure out where to find the fish in the cooler temps.

Nope.  If anything the water looks lower.   On the bright side it will give us a good look at the shoreline so we'll know where any structure is when the water comes back up.

You didn't see the artificial structure already this summer?  That was about it.   :-\

I've seen the lake this low a few times and have a good feel for the underwater structure (or lack there of) already.
It would be nice if the powers that be would build an artificial reef right under the "No Wake" buoy line.  They could make a passage gap between the two middle (deepest) buoys so when the lake is really low like it is now, boats have a passage area to move through the area without hitting.

In PA they would take peoples Christmas trees after the holidays and drive them out on the ice of our local lake (Keystone Lake) and stack them in various places on the ice.  Then come spring the ice would melt and the trees would sink to the bottom giving the fish some structure.  It worked great.  I don't know if they still do this or not.  It's been almost 20 yrs since I've been back there to fish.

Guys, the winter crappie I catch are typically staged 30+ ft of water in several large brush piles directly across from ramp C. It's usually in 60ft of water but now I reckon it's 45ft or so with the water this slow. Good luck!

I know where both main stringers of them are, and usually attempt to tease a fish from them if I happen to be in those areas of the lake.  However, I have yet to ever catch a fish off those dang spiders.

I didn't realize they put over 400 of those things in the lake.

Now that I am on vacation for the next 10-11 days, and hopefully be wrapping up buying a new car by Saturday, I may go out on Sunday to stretch my legs and tease some fish.

If you are still wanting to do some hull checks and see if your gaskets don't leak we could meet out there on Sunday.    8)

So much for the days when The Jadester would SUP fish there......
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.
