Mike,

There is no doubt that jig is going to show a lot of action in the water.

It is going to be fun to see which ones actually get bit.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

It's going to be fun to try to catch fish on these master crafted junk jigs.  I'm hoping mine won"t be a rock magnet.

I am on a team of one, but here is my first contribution.  I call it moptapus.  It is made with a double hook, pencil lead, mop strands, hog rings and paracord.  It is approximately six inches long. Guaranteed to catch a ling.

Dang! That looks fishy!

My first attemp at this... a light switch pull chain.  It was hollow so I hammered a .45ACP 185gr LSWC into the base for some added heft.

My first feeble attempt. Needs more bling, I think.

With February off to a good start I haven't seen any junk jigs from team INSAYN or any other freshly started teams? Remember 3 jigs per person and the end of the month we will get our judges to go threw the pictures and decide the human decisions. Later we will let the bottom fish be the true judges. Also no modifying them after the final judgment, it goes in the water as it was judged.  Can't speak for Insayn but team C.O.D. will take new members there's an age restriction for members but NOT for mascots  ;). Although mascots are required to wear a funny hat at least two times on the water and photos are a must.

Sorry, my other priorities have been owning my time.  I have the workings of two jigs in a pile in the garage, but with my free time I have been gearing up my AI for this years fishing season, as well as a few trips up to the mouth of the Deschutes for sturgeon.

If I don't lollygag too much longer, I will try and get at least two done this week.   :-\

As for the "INSAYN fishing team", nobody else has showed much interest.  Whatta team, right?   :dontknow:

Open seats are always welcome.   ;D
