Anybody fishing Whiskey Gulch on Saturday?  I need to get on the water, and I think I want to give WG a try.  I've never fished there before, but Saturday looks like a good day to start.  Low (~10') tidal swings, and no wind in the forecast.  I'm thinking I'll try a mix of trolling for kings and jigging for 'buts.

I'm going down there. Depending on weather, I will fish there or Homer.

If the weather holds, I plan to fish WG at least one of the weekend days.  Most likely hit the late afternoon low tide...try and launch around 1pm ish or so...then hit early high tide on Sunday to get back at a reasonable hour.

The rigging on my new Revo is finally coming together, so I'm pumped to keep putting on the miles to shake all the bugs out.  My house in Soldotna just hit the market and it's showing a lot, so there's even more incentive to stay gone all day on Saturday  :)

I'll be heading down early Friday and try to be on the water that morning.  Staying til Sunday morning. Red Silverado, tan tent, and an orange native slayer.

Dumb question maybe, but I'm new to this.  Is it possible (advisable?) to make it down to Whiskey Gulch in my Nissan Altima?  I don't have anything four wheel drive, and it looked pretty steep.  Finally got a kayak and I'm itching to get out there.

Some guy today got a king I want to say his name was Bryan I fished halibut all day kept one 15 to 20 and one close to 40 according to the length weight chart both were real nice thick fish but I think the bigger one was about 30 I'm not sure how accurate the length weight is or maybe it's me idk but awesome day on the water let 6 10 to 15 pound fish go also had a small king I think it was some sort of salmon maybe even a dolly eat a hoochie dangling off the side of the boat while I was digging out bait

Does anybody have any current info on hooligan? I thought about trying to get some to fish with this weekend, just don't know if they have made it into Turnagain arm or Kenai yet.

Truck is all loaded up.  We are heading out here in another hour or so, rolling in late.  I guess it's better than getting up at 2am...
