Just got this in the mail...only a 25$ entry for kayakers. Pretty sure that's a change from last year.

I am definitely in!

I am super psyched to see they lwoered the registration fee for the kayaks.

This is a great event though it can be frustrating when people bid up your boat! As long as I can walk, I am in!!!

I might make it. The Homer Shorebird Festival is the same weekend...which my lovely bride is interested in. So, it's a win-win! And if I get sick AGAIN it will only be a $25 loss.

However, a mile from shore is a long way out for a greenhorn!

I thought Anchor Point was in a conservation zone? Am I reading it wrong?

Whoop some power boat a$$ we will....and if we don't, well we're on kayaks what'd you expect?

I'll be there to fish the 14th but probably won't partake in the auction. Should be fun!

Yeah....$25 I'll partake on this tournament.  For those of you who's been contemplating on this event and haven't caught that elusive King, this is the day to try your luck.  I believe multiple PBs along with kayak armada will create a huge bait plume that will draw in King and halibut.

I caught 3 King and released 1 on that faithful day.  Me and my friend repeated similar experience next day and reaching our daily limit.

Again, this is fishing not catching and I offer no guarantee expressed or implied and your mileage may vary pending right place at the right time.

***check last years event and search for Rudy's post... I think I tacked my catch there***

Good timing I guess. Bought an Outback last year, just finished rigging it up with a fish finder and downrigger and stuff. I'm trying to figure out how to load and unload it on the overcab  "Cam Damper". Worst case, I'll drag it down on the 10k tilt trailer. Will just follow the crowd and hope for "beginners luck" because I don't know the fist dang thing about about kayak fishing or trolling for kings except what I read from you fine folks. Bought some property in Anchor Point a few years ago to plan for retirement so I better get started on the learning curve. I'll be the one with shiny new stuff and a stupid look on my face.
