Stariski camp ground about 1/4 mile before whiskey gulch on the right. Nothing fancy but sounds like what you're looking for.

Sounds about right.  I'm just hoping I can find an open spot. I called the state rec area office and asked about the campsites at Anchor Point and was told not to get my hopes up about finding a spot if I couldn't make it down until Friday night.

I will be camping in Anchor Point this weekend. I familiarized myself with my Outback in Sport Lake today [emoji3] and practiced getting back on it in deep water. It appears that some of you guys are headed to Whiskey Gulch this weekend. On Saturday I would love  to follow some people around in my Outback watching how you guys do this in person now that I've seen a bunch of videos. I will bring my fishing gear and will fish probably Sunday and Monday. What time do guys think you'll be on the beach on Saturday?

Hit the water with my daughter and son for a 4 hour trip. probably landed 15 to 20 halibut. kept 4 in the 20 to 25 range and two smaller ones. had a king chase my gear up but we didn't fish for them.

oh yeah, there was a Porta potty there.

Maybe there's hope for humanity after all.  Only place I've ever seen that was worse for people just lettin' it rip right there on the ground was Afghanistan.  White roses everywhere in this state.  Thanks for the report, Rudy!

I'm camped out on the gravel bar past the tractor launch at Anchor Point. Brown Power Wagon with a tan Revo on top. Tomorrow morning I'm going to pack up and head to WG. I'm going to try fishing at anchor right out in front of WG in the morning, and sometime between 10 and 11 I'll stow the anchor gear in the truck and troll the tide out and back.  If you have similar plans or if any part of my plan sounds good to you, feel free to hit me up. Yak fishing buddies are always welcome.

My WG experience Thursday mainly...

Daughter caught her first halibut off of any platform.  Not the most exciting video but its main for the grandparents and the kids a few decades from now.  lol.  Some good pics my daughter Saku took as well.

The video:

Martin and I were at WG Friday and Saturday afternoon. Martin pulled a 46 pounder Friday night. On Saturday we probably brought up over 40 between us, including these 30 pounders. Great weekend for fishing,

We had a great time! Caught a 30" cod too, anyone else catch those at WG on occasion?

Does anyone have details on the kayak fisherman that capsized and spent 5 hours in the water at WG on Fri night? We are glad to hear you survived, please let us know what happened so we can all be safer in the future.

Met LowSky, Ryan, and Kat and went out for a one-way from WG to AP... Which worked out really well as we had friends to haul us back for a truck.

A little bumpy after launch but the day turned awesome !

We all managed halibut, and what was really cool was Susan, Ryan, and Kat all brOught their first halibut to their kayaks!

Will edit with pics soon.
