Who is in?!?!?!  I don't have much details.  Its a two day event.  $100 per person.

Typically  lot more fish caught than during the march derby.  I definitely plan on fishing it.

Last year's derby for my son:

Should be down there unless something comes up for work. Been looking forward to it! After seeing GravesJacob catch that big white king, and not being able to fish much last weekend I'm ready to go!

Thanks for the heads up.

Found the details on their Facebook page. I think this will take you straight to the post. https://www.facebook.com/ElksLodge2127/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf

If not just search FB for jHomer Elks and you should be able to find the post easily enough. It was posted on the 16th if that helps. I really like their 10% prize for the MOST average fish. Yes, 10% of proceeds for the fish that is closest in weight to overall  average for the tourney. I like that.

Sounds like fun.

It is time!  I know a few folks headed down.  Wind looks decent. May rain.  Need a kayaker to pull off the upset of the powerboats!

Jake's fish a few weeks back would have definitely been a contender.

I just got checked in at Derby Headquarters. There's already a few tupperware boaters checked in. They said they may categorize kayak fisherman if they get a few more. Maybe a $100 to the top kayak entry. I'm with Rudy though. Let's just have one of us win this thing. Actually, I'd be real happy to just have a very average weekend ;D

In the meantime, a couple  :spittake: and a good night's sleep. I plan on launching when I get up. Not planning on hitting the water at 7:30 line in time. Might happen, but I'm not going to push myself for that.  I can't peddle around out there for 10 hours, so I might as well fish at decent hours.

Hope to see a bunch of us out there this weekend.

Watching you all on the Webcams today. Seas are getting glassy off the end of the Spit at low tide this morning. GOOD LUCK NonPower Rangers!
