Since a lot of us can't get out and fish right now, let's all have a little fun looking back on fishing from last year!
Share your most epic catch from the kayak in 2019 - I'll send a $20 Next Adventure e-gift card to whoever has the most impressive catch! That's most impressive, not biggest.. because if you caught a 40 inch surf perch that would be way more impressive than a three foot sturgeon. Speaking of sturgeon, here's the catch that got me the most stoked last year:
My biggest sturgeon from the kayak to date at the Sturgeon Social - such an awesome day hanging out with so many other kayak anglers!
Let's see what you got!

This is great! I'm in! I don't want to spam the thread, so how many pictures each?

It's gotta be your one very best fish of 2019, so just one picture per person!! Use it wisely..

Well, by my reckoning this was my best specimen of the year; I haven't seen too many copper rockfish bigger than this from the kayak.

Great thread idea!

I caught PB winter steelhead and fall Chinook in 2019, but they were both from the shore. Kayak-wise, my best score was sticking these two mondo lingcod back-to-back on December 3. Pedaled out of Depoe Bay to a favorite pinnacle, and spent more time fighting and landing these two toads than actually fishing…I think I only “fished” for all of a few minutes! They clocked in at 25 and 23 pounds, respectively.

Runner-up was a sea-run cutthroat trout I caught in 120 feet of water while trolling for salmon. Pretty cool surprise.

Have to go with my Cabezon caught during the Sunset bay tournament. My previous best was 28 inches. Unfortunately Cabezon was closed at the time and I didnt bother to measure it, but I am positive she would make 30 inches.

It was tough to decide, but this is the one that I lay in bed and relive at night the most often

Pepper and my first ocean lingcod on June 25, on our first ocean outing, off the west end of Simpson reef...

(image in my signature is our full catch for the day.  well, minus the Cabby we released and a pair of big dungies that refused to pose with us.)

84 CM at the fork. Probably around 20lbs, big for Puget Sound.

Here is my son's (bubbagrump).  SamM hooked it and then was kind enough to pass it on to bubba for him to reel in.  He fought it a while.  It was impressive for a 13 yr old and something he'll never forget.
