Got the email and will shoot him the $40.  Pick up still at the Sportsman show?
That would work. We don't know exactly which day yet.

Just paid the $40. I am hoping we can grab the traps without buying a ticket and going into the show, which I am guessing will be somewhere I would rather not be packed into the Expo Center. Will watch this thread for the mechanics of the pickup.

We're hoping to pick up the traps on Tuesday, 3/23 in order to avoid the traffic & parking fees.

Anthony & I will be picking up the crab traps in Portland on Tuesday, 3/23. Not sure of the exact time or place yet. We could probably use some help with distribution. Most folks made payment arrangements already.

We met the fella from McKay today out at the Expo Center. He only had 15 of the 60 traps we purchased on this truck. Since PNW was up here from Eugene we loaded his truck to fill the orders from down south.

I'll pick up the remainder of our traps Thursday night and they'll start going out to those in the PDX metro area then.

Will Salem area people need to arrange a PDX area pickup?
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Can someone explain why these are worth the asking price?  I see half a trap for more than twice the price.  I am refering to the 15 dollar danielsons that have done me great in the past.  Is it ourely because people are uncomfortable lifting larger pots?  I do two danielsons on the outback for ocean and 3 for the bays.  The revo i just use one trap for ocean.  Is it purely ease of use on a kayak?

The wire McKay uses is zinc cold-dipped, (looks like galvanized) then coated. If you get an intrusion into the coating on a Danielson or Promar the rot spreads quickly. I have some McKay 3-door No Escape traps that are 5 or 6 years old and they still look as good as the day I bought them.
