B just has seen some carnage in his day, We have some spots in NorCal that are great but the launches are hideous. I guve you the Bean (AKA Bean Hollow)...
There's video of a member getting thrashed there that I can't find but it's horrendous.

This is a different place but darn sneaky

Yeah, the pics are good!  I wanted to get an idea of the Sunset Beach playground you guys are so lucky to be playing in already.  Any "fishing" pics of the area?

  What if......
Check this one out on google map.
Put in at sixes river lagoon at Cape Blanco, nice launch there.  1/2 mile or so to the bar, short portage  across sand to ocean behind Gull rock . Semi protected, right  in the middle of " as good as it gets" 50 yds off beach. This would be pertty easy. I think its Gull rock, the big one.

intriguing for sure. That would just be an awesome place to fish. I put a mark on the NWKA for this area. BTW, Cape Blanco just to the south is the farthest point of land west in the united states.

I have been there before RevoRoy! That would be a great place to fish. Its kind of a hike with the yaks, but it is flat walking. I have never launched there before. The beach looked rough there but maybe it is not as bad as I remember.  Cape Blanco would protect us for the swell and the wind. When are we going??

Lol, Sorry B, I know you were just bustin chops..I'm a little snippy myself..Been a crappy week.

Hey I started it.  Actually a buddy of mine (Jim "InSeine") lived right across from a nice step beach break that was 5 miles north of where we worked.  I kept one of my kayaks at Jim's place and before or after work we'd go fishing.  We would often have to time our launch and punch through the waves just right to go fishing.  I had my shares of "interesting" launches and landings.

I do not think you could float down the sixes this time of year. I think this would be a good winter spot. but in the summer you are on the wrong side of cape blanco. You would catch all the north winds. There is some serious wind there.
