I can pick up a discontinued Eagle Cuda 250 for about $190 locally, and have read many of the posts here about this popular FF for kayak use. But does anyone know the difference between the 250 and new 350 replacing it? Any actual 350 users? Seems the 350 is available for about $30 more, and I am wondering if it is worth it.

Here are the specifications from the Eagle site.   The difference seems to be that one is black and new and the other is gray/blue and old.

BP: Thanks for the comparo. I didn't see anything in the Eagle charts that indicated much difference, so thought I would ask. Guess one is as good as the other.

Unless Eagle got lazy and posted the 250 specs for the 350 on accident, there isn't a difference other than color.

I dunno guys, after that burn with the voltage display thing, I'd want to lay hands on the 350 before I committed. The biggest easter egg I found in the Eagle 250/Lowance M56 was the tides and currents feature that's not mentioned in any of the literature. I'd hate to lose that in the case color change.

Does anyone else w/ that model have the same tide/current features?

I checked mine when Wali first mentioned it and that feature is present. I've never actually used it though since I check the tides before I go out.

The tide is part of the basic mapping function. To find them go to the map screen, zoom out to a range where you can see the mouth of the Columbia, scroll over to it and zoom in to the 10 mile range where you can see the nav markers. Scroll around till you see a "T" in a box. scroll over to it and the tide should pop-up. Same thing with current and a boxed "C". I chose the Columbia because I know there is one there (actually a few)

I've also found the one near the mouth of the Nehalem.

i found the tide feature, still trying to figure out how to read it though. Like Jay, i check the tides before i go out.

I'm sure the 350 has the tide feature Wali, why would they take it out?

The 250 will display the voltage of the battery?

I've been going on 5 trips on the same charge with my 5 amp hour batt. and it is just nearing 11 volts.
