Anybody up for some fishing this saturday/sunday?  Would really like to get out and hit the salt, lings, maybe flounder.  Not opposed to some fresh water fishing though.

Pretty sure I'll be able to fit in some time this weekend but not sure which day. If I can make it I'm planning on doing Sammamish for bass and cutties.

Southworth ferry area could work for me, as could Sammamish.... I may be able to pull away for the weekend, but would need to make the trip down only on one day, probably camp out.  Lemme see what I can throw together.  PM's with details are welcomed!

I could possibly make Sammamish on Sunday.  Saturday is out - gotta work, then BBQ.  If y'all head to Sammamish where will you put in and where will you fish bass?

Ya...you better go early...yarjammer and I were there last weekend (granted it was a memorial day but he checked it sunday also)...there was (and i am guessing) roughly 2-300 people at that park on that particular day...parking is scarce...and boats, boats, boats, and more boats,,,loud music on all of them and skiers lol

but that said we spent a lot of time out there and it was fun...not any bass although we saw a few smallies caught randomly...there are however quite a bit of perch...i didn't catch any of much size but i probably caught 6 or 7 of them...

we were looking to see if the bass were bedding yet and didn't see any but they should be starting anytime

good luck
i'm in the process of mounting my fishfinder :)...gonna test it in some salt i think

Assuming my sunburn from Monday calms down a bit, I may be game for Sammamish or some salt this weekend.  My legs & arms are still the color of a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak (which means I'm well done  :-[).

The GF and all have decided to take this weekend to make another visit out to Port Orchard on Friday night, so I'll be headed out from that direction. That makes Saturday launch from Southworth easy!  I'm not sure I'll be free super early, but I'll give it my best shot.  Any timing established for this one yet?  Oh, and I might be able to make Sammamish, but not too early as I'm reluctant to pay for the ferry 4 times in one weekend.

I'm gonna have to change my plans to make it Sat. morning. Say.. 7AM.

300 people at that park on that particular day...parking is scarce...and boats, boats, boats, and more boats,,,loud music on all of them and skiers lol

Thanks for the reminder YN. The skiers and wakeboarders get insane in the north end since there's a water ski slalom course. And if they're not bedding yet there's other better places. I think I'll make it Lake Washington instead. Launching near Seward Park w/ bass and trout trolling gear.

I am not familiar with put-in locations, so are you putting in at the south end of Sayre's park off Ohler Island?  Or are you parking and walking the yak north or south of the Island?

Yar,
if Sammy is still in your cards, instead of fighting the park and or dragging 800 yds, how about trying that launch/access in Issaquah next to I90 that we couldnt use last year cause it was seasonally closed.. thats the one in the park on the south end immediately to the left of that access alley we had to back out of because it was a dead end driveway.. it should be open now.. ::)
