1. Learn to fish saltwater, and maybe catch a fish or two.

2. Catch a springer and a sturgeon from my yak.

3. Take a kayak self rescue class,  on purpose, not by accident.

4. Get my 10 year old out fishing more, and enjoying it.

5. Find some new friends to go out and fish with.

6. Find more time to enjoy the finer things in life,  BEER, BAIT, and BOATS.
If it wasn't for flashbacks, I'd have no memories at all.

More than anything, I would like 2011 to bring:
#1 Yakchick(my Sweetie) to recover fully from the major injuries she incurred
from a fall off a ladder.
#2 No more ER visits,hospitalizations,operations(4 between the 2 of us).
#3 Get Yakchick back in the yak by at least Humpie season
#4 Fish,fish,fish!!
Count your blessings folks.

Greetings.

My goals for 2011:
1. Learn to fly fish/cast
2. Catch a fish (hopefully from my kayak)
3. Meet fellow anglers
4. Fine tune my smoking brine, which means I need to catch fish for the smoker  ;D

Cheers

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I just don't know.

Which one in particular?  Interested in billed fish, food fish, or both?  Ono, Mahi, Ahi?

Not too interested in tangling w/anything that has a spear attached to it's face on the kayak, though there were two nice 70+ sailfish that came up on the big island in the last week or two. First goal for me is ono, should be showing up soon, and a mahi mahi. Ahi are a bit more distant in my angling future, but it'll be fun trying!

For me my goal is to finish setting up my yak for saltwater fishing--get a sounder installed and get a downrigger setup.
Second would be to catch a halibut.(Season opens in 5 days!) :)
