Can't believe it's nearing the end of Feb. already! 2011 is well underway and i think it's gonna be an exciting year.

Looking forward to all the NWKA Events, whenever and wherever they may be!? I'll let you guys work that out, i'm good with most dates at this point.

Some of my goals this year are:

1) Catch a Rogue River Springer
2) Catch a keeper Sturgeon in the Coos bay area
3) Share my sport with others...
4) Have Fun, Fun, Fun!

I am going to have the 2nd Annual Sunset Bay AOTD Tournament on July 16th this year. Hope it doesn't conflict with any NWKA Events, it should be about a month after the ORC. Want to get most of the same people and a bunch of new ones to show. There will be an alternate venue that is more tide dependant but is close and easy if Sunset happens to be blown out. Paul(PNW) has an RV sapce next door to me for rent and i have a bunch of space for camping if you want to save money on camp fees. Working on the details but i am seeking a very exciting first prize! More to come, stay tuned.

I think it's gonna be a wild ride this year!
See ya on the water..
Roy

I have a couple of 2011 goals:

Catch a sturgeon - keeper or not.
Catch a halibut.

I'll know by the end of May.

My aspirations for 2011 are simple:

- Catch a Halibut out of my yak
- 30# Springer
- 10# LMB
- Win EVERY contest

I'd just like to go fishing more than five times.  Catching a springer would be nice bonus.

My plans for 2011 are pretty simple. Get a Hobie and figure out a way not to get seasick so I can spend more time on the ocean.  Catching some decent fish would be nice too.

Man, if you get the seasick thing figured, let me know too!!  Went on a charter in Kauai last year, and spent a really miserable 3 hours over the rail, took some dramamine about an hour before setting out, didn't help.  Everybody else caught wahoo,  due to my chumline.....

Big Lings!

Actually land a Halibut, I've hooked and cranked a number to the surface but "reducing them to possession" has be elusive

Get my fledgling kayak guide business off the ground

And most of all spend a bunch quality time on the water with some good people!

Wow.. Spot, a 30# springer!  Now that's a goal...

1. Top 5 AOTY
2. Catch my first delishish springer
3. Catch a #15 lake trout
4. Kayak camp the coast hopefully with Pelagic and others.
5. Paddle with as many others as possible. And obviously for me and all the other kayakers of NWKA to have a safe year out on our awesome waters.

Hey Spot sorry I don't get the reference. Ms. Spink? Scotty like a rod holder or a person?
