23lb 5oz male, listening to some good tunes (to lazy to pull my lure up) running back to to the start of my drift.  Yak turned and I thought I snagged a log, then the line started peeling...  He hit hard enough to have four of the six hooks set.  First fish I have caught on my tub.

Thanks everyone, still jazzed just thinking about it, had to add another pic.  Today was my other peddling day, but the tides are starting to look promising this week, not a morning person.  Hooked up around 18:30, was not expecting it.  Another great thing to add is that there was a family watching me from set to net, pulled up on the bank so their young daughters could see the black lip.  Made some new friends.  As to where on the river I am, I put in at the X, just south of Zidell and usually work the red section but sometimes work my way to Willamette park.  The yellow section I have dialed in, I have had my ff almost blackout before when a school is running.

Nice looking fish, way to get after them.  I guess it wasn't you then in an outback fishing right below Meldrum bar on Sunday.  Should have stopped and chatted but the guy looked busy fishing ;D

That is an awesome fish!  Congratulations!!!  That's the biggest springer I've seen from a yak.   :hello2:

I'm glad to see multiple NWKA members getting into springers.  They can be hard to motivate for since the fish per hour ratio is small.  Once one hooks you though, it's terminal.  ;D

To date this year I've had 3 opportunities and no love......  Yesterday I had one nibbling my herring for what seemed like 5min.  My rod would throb and then nothing.  Throb again and then nothing.  When I finally checked my bait, my hooks were bare......

Thanks for the inspiration to keep at it!
