Just wondering why I'm not showing up on the leader board?  I've 3 fish entered so far (and they've been verifyed), and should be between kwik and yaksurf.  But I don't show up at all.

Hey SumNZ,

You're not showing up on the leader board because you're not showing up in the database as having paid yet.  If you have paid, send PolePole a PM (he handles the Paypal stuff) and I'm sure he'll straighten that out.  Once that's fixed your fish will show up.

I paid on July 3 (might have been just after midnight so technically July 4).

I think we could do that. I think Alan was going to try and get the recent catches back.

Would be nice.  :)

Like this..

http://aoty.northwestkayakanglers.com/leaderboard/list_recent

It's been there the whole time on the AOTY site under "Special Pages -> Most Recent"

Sorry about that. I guess I've never looked there. Thanks.

I finally caught a fish worth entering haha. Only after seven months.

I noticed that my full name is showing up under the list and not my forum handle. Is there a way to fix that? It's showing christopherjhyde instead of Linglingherro.

Thanks for posting up that recent catches are under special pages. I would have never thought to look there.

So I looked at the recent fish and see that they were all submitted on 7/12 and 13 yet the fish I submitted on 7/10 is still pending. Should I be concerned? I realize this contest is supervised by volunteers who are probably busy with other things. I'd like to be as far from the bottom as possible even though I am turning into NWKA's small fish specialist.

So I'm not sure if this is a Flounder or Sand sole.  Can it be posted for AOTY?

Flounder in the strict sense, tend to be left-eyed (i.e. their eyes are on the left side if you held the fish such that it looked like a normal fish).

So yeah, that is a sand sole.

That said, any non-halibut flatfish (i.e. flounder, sole, turbot, dab, etc..)  can be submitted under the flounder category for AOTY.

We should rename the "flounder" category  "flatfish".

More likely we'll call it flatfish and then define it in a similar fashion we define panfish in the AOTY rules.
