I'm 2 upgrades out of the lead and it would take a solid run of luck to get that in December. Evan has the best shot of leapfrogging me with a darky chum or early season steelhead. Not many chances for significant fish this time of year. Days are short and weather windows few.

I'm still trying to get 2 more species, although that probably won't be of interest to anyone but me and maybe coosbayyaker. I missed a few that I thought were givens earlier in the year. Now it comes down to how much time I have to fish. Of the goals I set for myself, getting 10 eligible species was #1, so that's what I'm focused on.

In three years I still haven't met my goals (which change from year to year).  I do recall a vain attempt about this time last year to improve my score and jump multiple positions with one more fish. I ended up freezing my butt for a day on a lonely stretch of water and coming up empty, however.

Well I've been putting in my time, but I've been chasing reports instead of making reports, as Spot says. I'm going to try to be proactive the rest of December as far as I'm able.

I'm done...I haven't had much time to fish since the summer and feel like Salmon season completely passed me by this year.

I'm excited that I made it this far in AOTY and I still have one species to go.  I would really enjoy catching a steelhead before the year is up.  This is my second year of fishing and I have enjoyed every minute of it.  Roy has been an excellent teacher.

I'm not dead yet... species #9 submitted, and I have a couple of plans for species #10. I've got, what, like 13 days? No problem!

I'm upset I haven't had any time to fish.

I've had all of about 4 days this year.  Put only 3 species on the board.  Never even got my crab pots wet.  And 2015 isn't likely to be any better in that regard, but who knows.

That sounds terrible. I get bummed if I go a full week without fishing.

I did fish a lot less this year than I did last year, but I had a better strategy and ended up scoring more points. I missed a couple easy species and came up short in the end.

It'll get a lot better when I'm not doing grad school at the same as working and having little kids in the house.  By the 2016 season I'll be graduating from school, and the youngest will be out of diapers.  Plus the 2 older kids will be old enough to come with me on some trips which will make it a lot easier to get out.
