It would be nice to live in P-town again!  When I mention fishing from a kayak around hear, people look at me like I'm crazy.

Don't worry man.  It wasn't long ago that people around here would come off troll to take pictures and ask stupid questions.  In fact, the 1st time I fished B10 from my yak it started a huge debate on the other site about whether I was stupid or crazy.   Nobody even blinks now.

That's awesome. I've fished B10 from a jetsled a few times in combat conditions.  From a kayak... I am not there yet, but it's something to aspire to.
Water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.

Stick around long enough and you'll find out for yourself.   :cat:

Btw, i think today is the last day to sign up with the reduced entry fee.  Sign up now and save some money.

I would love to go fish, hell I would love to just be able to go home. My yak sits in my garage waiting for me to set her up. I have been at the fire station since last Sat the 3rd. Its like being in a prison work release program. lol If I get my yak setup next week and my wife does not have the dead sea scrolls out for my home work list. Maybe I will be able to get out and at least watch you guys. Good luck to all the participants.

I just saw that the webmaster has not increased the cost to sign up for the tournament from $20 to $30.  If any of you are still on the fence, you should be able to sign up for $20 until tomorrow morning.

Guys, while we do have a few folks signed up so far we need a few more folks to ensure that this is a successful event.  We have a over a $1,000 in raffle prizes including 5 rods ranging from $80 to $120, pfds, paddles, cry cases, wet suit accessories and more.  All participants are entered into the raffle so anyone can win a prize.  The trophies for the top 3 finishers are not your normal run of the mill trophies either they are made by Mike Olson, a local artist.  There will also be burgers, dogs and free beer after the event, and everyone gets a tourney specific T-shirt too.
I also, talked to the IT guy and the cost is staying at $20.
Please don't wait to sign up,we need final numbers to start getting things ready.
I hope to see you guys on Saturday.

I won't be able to sign up until Friday but you can count on me and at least one of my kids to enter.

If you're new to kayak fishing, this is a great event to wet your feet, meet some of the other great NWKA members and potentially go home with way more than your entry fees in prizes.

If you've been around a while, sign up and show your support for the only shop in the region that cares enough to put on great events like the Kayak Fishing 101 classes, The PDX Sturgeon Trounament and now a Bass Fishing Classic!

Wished I could, but I can't.  I have 2 photo shoots scheduled on Saturday,  for any reason  my shoots are canceled.  I will definitely join!

I will however test my new rod and reel out at Willamette Park this Thursday from early mornings hours til 2:00ish.
Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.

The events are great and the swag makes the entry fee a bargain.  I walked out of the sturgeon tourney with a nice Immersion Research dry-top  from the raffle.  It has more than paid for my entry fees for the next ten events.  You too could be the next lucky winner with no fish needed.  Hell, the beer and food more than cover the fee, as well.

I can tell by your typing that you are starting to get a tickle in your throat.  I think you need some R and R.

Anybody on the fence? New to yak fishing?  Interested but not sure where to go?  Feel free to fish with me.  If nothing else we'll get skunked together ;D

I'm launching out of Clackamette Park in Oregon City (right across the road from Fishermen's Marine ;D).  Happy to field any questions: gear, techniques etc. etc.  Lets get out there and support Next Adventure!  Like folks said earlier they have taken the time to support kayak fishermen lets return the favor!

You know I love my NA bro's but I'm out of town this weekend. All I know about bass fishing is two words "poppin' bugs" and I'd still do it if I were going to be around.

You guys fishing the slough should make an interesting side bet for biggest carp. (save them for crab bait, bones make good spider pickin's)

Have a great time without me.  :-(

Ok your all in trouble now I just signed up for the Classic. Well your not really in trouble cause I know squat about bass fishing but I am going to  do it anyway. It will also be the maiden voyage of my Outback maybe I will be able to find some time to get my FF installed before Sat. Guys I don't have a Hawg Trough so what do I use to measure my fish, If I catch any that is. :banjo:
