Next Adventure will be hosting its inaugural bass fishing tournament on Saturday September 17th.  The Next Adventure Bass Yakin’ Classic, is open to all kayak anglers from the seasoned fisherman to the first timer.  This will be a catch, measure, photo, and release for the longest largemouth and smallmouth bass.  All waterbodies with public access within a 50 mile radius of the Next Adventure Paddle Sport Center are open to fishing.  The details and rules are provided on the link below.

Ok, guys I know us kayak anglers like to sign up for things at the last minute but you guys need to start signing up soon.  We have some good prizes so far including rods from WW Grigg, pfd's, paddles, dry cases and much more.

I'm in.  Now the decision has to be made as to where to fish.

I'm doing my research today.  I am thinking the Columbia Slough by PDX is where it is at.  With all the industrial run-off the fish there have to be big with all their mutations.  Also, they probably aren't lure shy due to the low fishing pressure.  ;D

Anyone care to join me?

I'm a "prolly" ndogg.  I did see a nice fatty a couple of weeks ago in the pond next to the 17th fairway at Pumpkin Ridge.  It was on the public course so I'm assuming that counts as a public launch.   ;D

More pressure than you think
There was a bass tournament two weekends ago. I saw guys polling their bass boats into the sloughs...

I hear tale that a couple folks from Idaho will hopefully be making their way!

anyone fishing the Clackamette / Meldrum area?  If so I like to watch.  I'm not ready to fish this season, but could watch what others do and also learn to use my PA.
Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.

You should fish the tourney if you have a fishing license.  Bass Fishing is pretty easy, especially with a PA.

It would be nice to live in P-town again!  When I mention fishing from a kayak around hear, people look at me like I'm crazy.
Water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.

Don't worry man.  It wasn't long ago that people around here would come off troll to take pictures and ask stupid questions.  In fact, the 1st time I fished B10 from my yak it started a huge debate on the other site about whether I was stupid or crazy.   Nobody even blinks now.
