This is part of what I'm selling to fund the purchase of a fishing kayak.  I'm also selling firewood.

$350, or trade (+-cash as appropriate) for your kayak.

I bought the Ruger P94 brand new around 2003. It's the 2-tone version with factory Hogue grips and manual safety/decocker. I have 3 mags for it, and I think at least 1 is an 11rd. However I haven't had any .40 ammo for quite a while so I can't be sure. Definitely each will hold at least 10 rounds. There's also 4 dummy rounds that will go with it (great for dry fire practice and to have someone load into your mag to help cure flinching while practicing).

I didn't keep track of the round count, but I'd guess it's well under 1000.

There is a fair bit of wear on the finish of the slide. I have a Kydex OWB holster that was the culprit.

Gun seems to really prefer 165gr loads, with 155gr a close second. After that was the 180gr and the least favored was the 135gr ammo.

The gun comes with the 3 mags and some dummy rounds. If I can find the holster and you want it I'll include that as well. In the event that I find some .40 ammo I'll pass it along.

I would prefer a face to face, local sale. I live about 10 miles east of Mt Vernon. I can meet folks within a reasonable driving distance. However I will ship it to your FFL if you are from out of state.  If it needs to be shipped that cost will be extra.

I've never felt the need to pack iron, but if I did, I'd get a revolver...something like a Taurus Judge.

That's OK as a niche gun (e.g. for hiking in snake country) but I don't care for it as a general purpose defensive weapon.  Barrel's so short you get lots of flash, and not much power from the .45LC, and the .410 is not a good cartridge for anything but snakes, or rodents at very close range especially given the lack of a choke.

I originally got the Ruger as a home defense gun, and in case I needed to shoot a neighbor's dog pack.  One of his dogs knocked over my wife (then pregnant with our oldest) on its way to attack one of our dogs.

For CCW I do prefer other guns (my current CCW choice is a Sig P245).  But that's part the beauty of living here.  We all get to choose what works best for our given situation.

Hopefully someone on here wants this gun, whether for CCW or other purposes.

Exactly. I would only want to carry that so that I could defend myself from a mugger or attacker (snakes and rodents) at very close range, and that probably would occur in an area with other people or property in the background. A 9mm is a higher speed projectile that will go farther and penetrate deeper, so it has much more potential for collateral damage to innocent bystanders in the background if you miss your target.
The .45 has stopping power at short range, and a shot or three to the face from the .410 at very close range could deter any mugger.  The projectiles from either of these won't go as far before they hit the ground, not will they penetrate walls very deeply. That is what I'm thinking.
I can't hit anything over 10 yards away when shooting a pistol in too much of a hurry, anyway.
I have a 12 gage pump with slugs and buckshot for home protection. That's all I have it for.
I currently don't have any ammo for my ancient .303 British, but I know where I can get some.

The Judge would be nice against sea lions.

Good call.  Most shootings (police involved or self defense) occur between 3 and 7 yards.

OK, the Judge is good for what it is.  But like Islandson671 said in his thread about selling his Prowler, let's FOCUS on the P94.  A good gun at a great price.  ONLY $350.

Oh yeah.  Since I got my Christmas bonus it look like I'm probably going to buy Islandson671's Prowler.  I still need to sell the gun though to help pay for a dry suit, PFD, VHF, and a few other TLA's.  I'm hoping to meet up with Islandson671 on Sunday down in the vicinity of Bothell/Seattle (exact location TBD).  If anyone would like to meet up to look at this gun while I'm down there let me know.  We can even meet at a range so you can test fire it (BYO factory ammo).

Oh, and one other thing.  I will definitely consider trades (+- cash as appropriate) for various pieces of equipment.  Major needs right now include a good PFD (e.g. Stolquist Fisherman or equiv), a fishfinder/GPS (e.g. Humminbird 385 or similar), and a VHF (e.g. HX851 or equivalent).  Got other stuff you're willing to trade?  Make an offer.  Worst I can do is say no.

ETA: If anyone from OR is interested, I do get down to Portland and Eugene at least a couple times per year.  I don't have plans before around February, but when I do go I could meet you at your dealer of choice and do a transfer there.  That would save shipping costs.

WOW---a 410 to the face would indeed ruin someone's year.

If things were the way i think they should be, we would have "open season" on muggers 365 days/year, with no bag limit. Baiting and urban camo stands would be allowed.

Harvest the meat, and make burger to donate to the local Penitentiary.   ;)
